The BTSC's objectives are to support youth travel soccer to develop skills for the U8-U19 players and to instill appropriate behavior and good sportsmanship. We also hope to instill the passion for the game, not only in the players, but also for the parents, coaches and the general community.
Many volunteers run the BTSC. The Board Members, Committee Members, Coaches, and the many parents give their time and effort to make the BTSC a fun learning experience for all.

Reminder that the club will hold its annual General Meeting on Thursday May 29th at 8:00pm in the Bartlett Community Center Oak Room. At this meeting the attending members will vote to fill open board positions and those positions open for renomination.

* Nominations for the Executive Board (marked with an asterisk above) will be accepted by existing members of the board. If no member of the board chooses to be nominated, nominations will then be accepted from the general membership.
If you would like to be part of the BTSC board you must submit a nomination via the BTSC website by Friday May 23rd. The ballot information will be posted on the website on Monday May 26th. Votes will be cast at the general meeting on May 29th. The nomination committee will accept only one nomination per individual. Please do not nominate yourself for more than one position.

Congratulations to the BTSC Hawks U12 Girls White Team who were recently crowned tournament champions of the Hinsdale Hawks Cup.The girls record in the tournament was 3-0-1 and this included an incredible 7-0 win v's Wilmette Wings in the Championship game!
The girls started the tournament in driving rain and hard wind and managed to grind out a 1-1 tie against a strong Grayslake Galaxy team. In a tough game the whole team defended well, especially when they were playing against the wind and rain in the second half. Their second and third league games were both comfortable 2-0 wins for the Hawks against Downers Grove Road Runners and Park Ridge Galaxy respectably. In all their games the whole squad contributed to some great performances and they all played their part in the teams success.
The 7-0 Championship game win v's Wilmette Wings was certainly the icing on the cake after a wonderful weekend of soccer. Trainer Simon Brinklow said " it was just one of those games when everything we did went right. We defended well, worked hard in midfield, utilized the width of the field and were clinical up front. I am really pleased for all the girls as they all played exceptionally well all weekend and deserved this success". |

All BTSC members,
The club will hold its annual General Meeting on Thursday May 29th at 8:00pm in the Bartlett Community Center Oak Room. The general agenda is as follows,
- Presentation of the Club status
- Presentation of a financial report for approval by the voting membership
- Nomination and election of the Board
- Voting on amendments to the by-laws
- Disposal of other Club business
We will provide further information and a more specific agenda as the meeting date approaches. Note that a few board positions are up for election this year, so if you are interested in being part of the club board stay tuned for further information on the nomination process.

Parents and Players,
BTSC is pleased to announce the availability of a parent/player handbook for the 2008-2009 season. This handbook contains important information about the club and explains how the club operates, the soccer programs we offer, the fees and expectations. Please take time to familiarize yourself with this document as it is a valuable reference for the upcoming year. A parent and each player is required to sign the last page of the handbook indicating that they have read and understand it's contents. This form will be collected at registration.
BTSC is actively improving communications with it's members and we hope this handbook will answer most of your questions. As always feel free to contact any coach or board member for further information about the club.
